Joy Lee who loves Carolina Beach,N>C> said... Everything is in walking distance. The island is small and not yet ruined by too much progress. The shore is beautiful. The Boardwalk has many inviting features... one just happens to be the world's best doughnut shoppe. There's activity here for people of all ages. Plenty to do or my personal favorite - nothing to do but to soak in the wonderful North Carolina sunshine, watch the gulls and brown pelicans and other sea and marsh birds - it's always exciting to watch the charter boats and head boats leave in the early morning and then return in the afternoon with their catch. Did I mention that here the fish bite, but the people don't? There's no better place to be! "NOTHING COULD BE FINER THAN TO BE IN ........... you know the rest of the song!

The msuic on beach is great as well as the scenery(you know what I mean). Get there eralier or you will not get in limited parking.

TM who loves Salomon, St Johns USVI said... Salomon Beach is between Cruz Bay and Caneel Bay, next to Lind Point. It is accessible by water or a short hike from the State Park Ranger Station in Cruz Bay. One of the few nude beaches in the islands, it is tiny, secluded, and pristine. Their are some regulars - who I see each year I visit - and usually only ten or more souls on any one day. The waters are shallow, green cerulean blue, and gentle. The snorkeling is so-so, but the view is fabulous. It is quiet, peaceful, serene, and relaxing.

John S. Broderick who loves Gunderson Beach @ Sandy Hook State Park, N.J. said... Gunderson Beach at Sandy Hook State Park New Jersey is one of the only two legal nude beaches in the United States. The beach across from parking lot G, has life guards, concession stand, rest rooms and out door showers. It's a beautiful beach, wide and two miles long. On a hot sunny weekend there might be as many as 20,000 nude sun bathers enjoying the tidal pools created at low tides, and sunning au'natural without worry or care. The beach is well patroled, and the local nudist groups help watch the crowd and any people acting in poor taste are asked to leave. If you visit Gunderson Beach stay off the sand dunes, and remember, this is a family beach and no leud or overt acts of sex will be tollerated. The local nudist groups keep the beach clean, and it's popularity has grown over the years. Typically, parking lot G fills to capacity early, so plan to arrive by 9am. The other parking lots at the state park are usually empty to half full, (lots A-J) indicating the popularity of the clothing optional beach. The other clothing optional beach in the United States where it is legal to sun and swim nude is Haul Over Beach, in South Beach, Miami, Florida. Note that there are hundreds of swimming holes, beaches and lakes where nude swimming is over looked or tollerated, but Sandy Hook N.J. and Haul Over Beach Miami have made it legal.

Sean O'Connor who loves Marco Island, Florida, and Rodi Garganico, Italy said... Marco Island: The beach here is spectacular because of the color and texture of the sand. The sand is snow white and feels like fine powder when walking on it. The gulf has a nice gradual drop off making wading easy. My favorite beach on the island is Tigertail Beach because it is off the strip of the big hotels and does not get very crowded. There is also a nice little sandwich shop right off the beach. Rodi Garganico, Italy: Rodi is a small town on the Gargano Peninsula on the Adriatic Coast of Italy. The water is perfect here, crystal clear and teaming with small fish. The scenery along this stretch of coast is breathtaking, many grottos and small inlets making for nice secluded beaches. I spent part of my honeymoon here and it was perfect.
